CueTone

Terms of Use

Effective Nov 13, 2026 (announced Oct 14 · previous version Aug 25, 2026)

These terms set out the conditions, rights and duties for using CueTone (cuetone.cc), the free CuePlayer event player and related services provided by SI (the “Company”). The scope and restrictions for purchased tracks are governed by the ‘License’ page.

1. Services

  • Event BGM pack sales — a free 30-second preview of every track; standard license or exclusive buyout per pack
  • CuePlayer — a free event music player for Mac and Windows
  • CuePlayer announcement voice — a paid feature that turns text into AI speech, billed by prepaid characters

2. Accounts

Users aged 14 or older may become members by signing in with Google. You should manage your account and linked CuePlayer devices reasonably and remove a device on My Page if it is lost or handed over. The Company and users are each responsible for their own fault. To close your account, email support@cuetone.cc; we will guide you through refunding remaining paid credits and deleting your data. Paid purchases by minors may require a legal guardian's consent, and a contract made without it may be cancelled by the minor or the guardian, except where the law restricts cancellation.

3. License

The scope and restrictions of purchased tracks follow the ‘License’ page. A standard license is non-exclusive; an exclusive buyout contractually stops CueTone from future sales and new licensing of that pack. Reselling or redistributing the files themselves is prohibited. Tracks already purchased stay under the license in effect at purchase.

4. CuePlayer

CuePlayer is free and notifies you in the app when an update is available. Rights in music you load belong to their respective owners, and you must obtain any rights needed for public performance or broadcast. Because it is used at live events, we recommend checking outputs and behavior and preparing a backup before important events. This recommendation does not limit the Company's legal responsibility.

5. Announcement voice and credits

  • Each announcement deducts its character count, excluding spaces, from your credits. If generation fails, the credits are returned automatically.
  • Products (final price): 3,000 characters ₩4,900 · 10,000 ₩12,900 · 30,000 ₩29,900
  • 500 trial characters are granted once to an account the first time it links CuePlayer. Grants are limited to 2 per IP per day and 90 in total per day, so they may not be granted; these limits are shown on the link screen beforehand.
  • Paid credits do not expire. Trial characters are used first, then paid credits in the order purchased. Free credits such as trial characters are not refundable.
  • You may use generated audio for announcements and broadcasts at your events. You may not sell or distribute the audio files separately, impersonate or deceive others, or use it for unlawful content. You are responsible for writing lawful text; liability caused by the Company's fault is not shifted to you.
  • If the connection drops or your balance runs out, CuePlayer may announce with the device's built-in voice instead.

6. Payments, withdrawal and refunds

  • Payments are processed by Toss Payments.
  • Packs: under Article 17 of the Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act you may withdraw within 7 days of receiving the contract details (such as the order confirmation email), or, if supply is later, within 7 days of receiving or starting to receive the content. Withdrawal may be restricted for the portion whose supply (such as download) has begun only if the legally required measures, including clear notice before payment and a free preview, have been provided. Portions whose supply has not begun remain eligible for withdrawal.
  • If content differs from its description, advertising or the contract, you may withdraw within 3 months of delivery and within 30 days of when you knew or could have known. Defects or other faults on our side are exchanged or refunded.
  • Voice credits: an unused paid top-up is fully refunded within the withdrawal period under Article 17(1) of the same Act. If partly used or after that period, you may still request a refund of remaining paid credits, calculated per top-up as the amount paid × the share of that top-up's characters remaining. No fee is deducted.
  • Request refunds at support@cuetone.cc. Refunds are made to the original payment method; withdrawal refunds are made within 3 business days of withdrawal, and other balance refunds within 3 business days after we receive your request. If the original method cannot be used, we will arrange another method after verifying your identity.

7. Your obligations

  • No reselling, redistributing or unauthorized sharing of audio files, download links or generated voice files
  • No unauthorized scraping, excessive automated requests, bypassing authentication, or reverse engineering beyond what the law permits
  • No unauthorized use of another person's account or payment method

8. Changes to or end of service

We announce significant changes or the end of a service in advance with the reason, date and user protections. If the announcement voice service ends, we notify you 30 days ahead on the site and by registered email and refund remaining paid credits as in section 6 without fees. For unavoidable emergency suspensions, we notify users without delay of the reasons and our response plan. Licenses for tracks already purchased survive the end of a service.

9. Liability

The Company and users are each liable under applicable law for damage caused to the other by their own fault. The Company is not liable for damage not caused by its fault, such as force majeure or problems with your own devices or network.

10. Changes to these terms

We post changes, reasons and effective dates on the site at least 7 days in advance (30 days for unfavorable or significant changes, which we also email to members). Changed terms apply only once any legally required consent or other conditions are met; a notice or email alone does not automatically change an existing contract. We do not retroactively change the license of purchased tracks or the terms of credits you have bought to your disadvantage.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, Lawsuits over e-commerce disputes with consumers follow the jurisdiction rules of the E-Commerce Act (such as the consumer's domicile); other disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under applicable law. Contact: support@cuetone.cc
